Nigeriafilms.com authoritatively reported that Doris Simeon is presently enjoying a high patronage of customers at her recently established hair dressing salon, ‘Davris Beauty Centre’ in Ogba, Lagos. Also, the investment has helped the actress put behind her the bad experiences she had over her troubled marriage. You would recall that Doris established the hair salon after her marriage to a movie producer and director, Daniel Ademinokan crashed like a badly arranged pack of cards. A visit to the salon recently set up by the popular Nollywood actress will surely make someone reach at a conclusion that the pretty actress is regaining her joy after her crashed marriage. Allegations were rife last year that another actress, Stella Damasus snatched Daniel from Doris Doris reportedly established the beauty care salon, Davris in December 2013. The name of the salon is a combination of her son’s name and hers. This venture, as we learnt, is now a source of joy to the beautiful actress. A visit to the centre, which is located at Abanikonda Street off Haruna Bus Stop, along College Road, Ogba, will attest to the fact that Doris is getting high patronage. Nigeriafilms.com reliably learnt that some of her colleagues in the movie industry have been very supportive too as they go there to make their hair regularly.

President Goodluck Jonathan says the recent suspension of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Mallam Sanusi Lamido, is not a "political" action. Speaking during a Presidential Media Chat held at the Aso Villa, Abuja, on Monday, President Jonathan said Sanusi was suspended to enable the Financial Reporting Council carry out a thorough investigation in its audit of the bank's financial activities. He pointed out that Sanusi's tenure is due to end in June, and, he could make a return before then if he is cleared of any wrongdoing. "The issue of suspension and removal are very different. Sanusi remains the CBN governor, which is why we have not named a substantive governor. What we have now is an acting CBN governor. He cannot be there while investigation goes on. If he is cleared, he will surely return to see out his tenure." Asked whether he has the power to suspend or remove a CBN governor from office, he said: "Of course, I have absolute powers to do that. The CBN is not properly defined in the constitution and the CBN Act is ill-conceived." Jonathan however stressed that Sanusi's removal will not affect the Nigerian financial and economic system. It could be recalled that the governor was suspended last Thursday on allegations of financial recklessness and misconduct, which was cited in a report submitted to the President by the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria.

Nollywood actress Yetunde Akilapa, who allegedly got involved in stealing and was caught with bunch of keys which she used to enter into people's home, has returned from a spiritual home where she was said to have engaged in total cleansing. Read it here. Recall that Yetunde claimed that her stealing habit is more than what meets the eyes, and that she needed cleansing to bounce back to her feet. Yetunde revealed that she is back from cleansing and ready to continue with my acting career. “I am not quitting again. God has finally shamed my critics and enemies. It’s true I have not been around for two weeks. I was going through a kind of marathon fasting and prayer. First, I had to go to my hometown on my mother’s invitation. That was where I stayed for about two weeks for spiritual cleansing, and I thank God I have triumphed over my enemies. The devil has lost the battle. I am a conqueror forever.” Though, Yetunde explained that she went to different churches to get herself washed off of the spiritual attack on her person but said that she remains a member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. “I am a member of The Redeemed Christian Church of God in Ikorodu, where I reside. But I only attend Christ Embassy Church, Agidingbi, Lagos, once in a while. Even, my friend also introduced me to a Christ Apostolic Church, in Ketu, Lagos, where I also attend deliverance services. I don’t discriminate so far it’s all for my benefit. Now, I am happy that the battle is over. As I speak to you, I am on a movie location with some of my colleagues. They are all happy that I am back. I pray that any weapon fashioned against me again shall never prosper.”

Dapo Daniel Oyebanjo popularly known as D'Banj, who was signed in to G.O.O.D Music record seems to have parted ways with the label after few years of pitching tent with them. This information was gathered via his twitter handle, as the multiple award- winning hip-hop artist made a shocking disclosure on his twitter account, which now reads ‘BANGA LEE/EJANLA’ instead of the initial ‘G.O.O.D Music’ record as part of his biography. Recall that in 2013, Nigeriafilms.com reported that the G.O.O .D Music label boss, Kanye West, was unhappy about the split between D'Banj and Don Jazzy in early 2012 as Kanye actually signed Don Jazzy to produce D'Banj for his record label. But with the split between them, it was no longer possible for Don Jazzy to perform his obligation of making 'good' beats for D'Banj. But the question is: Will D’Banj consider going back to Mo’Hits record?

Information reaching me indicates that popular Nigerian rapper, Panchak Zamani, well known as Ice Prince was recently in the hospital in Lagos. The rapper broke the news on Sunday when he posted a picture of himself in the hospital and urged his fans to remember him in their prayers. “Somebody pray for me. Amen,” Ice Prince posted via his twitter handle. When Nigeriafilms.com contacted Ice Prince’s manager on the matter, he informed us that the rapper has already left the hospital. In Africa, marriage is a sacred institution that is not toiled with in any way. For Africans, especially Nigerians, the union between a man and a woman must be protected from external interference. That is why parents advise their children to endure their marriages, even when there are clear evidences of trouble or incompatibility between the husband and wife. In the olden days, parents were actively involved in the choice of their children’s spouses, though such cultures have now been thrown into the gutters due to civilization. However, when a lady leaves her parents, her mother ought to let go and allow her enjoy her new home, while such mother stays glued to her own husband. But once in a while, she pays visits to her daughter, especially when she gives birth to a new baby or her help is urgently needed. Some years ago, Super Eagles defender, Joseph Yobo, took former beauty queen, Adaeze Igwe as wife. The two moved to Turkey after Yobo joined a Turkish football club, Fenebache. But shortly after that, Yobo’s mother-in-law, Abigail Igwe, was accused of causing trouble in the marriage of her daughter due to her continued stay in her the lady’s matrimonial home. Recently, pictures hit the internet showing the mother and daughter looking hot and now, some of Yobo’s fans have hit out at his mother-in-law. “Why is this woman always with her daughter? Her intrusion is getting out of hands,” one of the fans said. “She should just give her daughter breathing space,” another fan submitted. “Can’t she stay with her own husband?” an aggrieved fan queried, while another said, “but she got married to John Fashanu about three years ago, so why is she is not always with him,” asked another fan. Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has disclosed reason why he was removed from office last week Thursday by President Goodluck Jonathan. Speaking in an interview, the respected banker also revealed efforts he made to sanitize the banking sector and his achievements. Read Sanusi's story below as stated by him... My story, by Sanusi Lamido Sanusi As at the time I came into office, several things had collapsed. From banks to stock exchange, they had crashed. Inflation was at 15.6percent three months before I became Central Bank Governor; there was already instability in every sector of the economy. When I look back, I thank God for the people who supported us and criticized us as well because criticism has made us stronger. Also, when I look back, I can point to several things that have changed after our arrival and till date. Keeping inflation down For the first time in a long while, we have been able to keep inflation at about 7percent since January 2013 and it is still like that up till this moment. As far as instability and exchange rate is concerned, we have worked tirelessly to ensure things work out well for the economy. We also introduced cash reduction in the system. Although most people didn’t like it because they felt it will add more problem to the exchange rate because people want to buy dollars but against all odds, the cashless policy has worked and it’s still working today. On the face-off between CBN and NNPC I must say that we are not EFCC. What I have been talking about is the areas that affect my job which have been a dwindling in the money that comes into the Federation Account. Let me make it clear, the disputed $20billion may be gone. And what some people want is the continuity of this; that stealing of public funds should continue. On his suspension I must say that there was no time when the CBN received any letter from the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria. At no point were we given any letter to respond to over any financial allegations. Also, nothing in the letter declared that I did anything wrong. I can tell you that CBN does not operate the way it’s been presented because all facts and statements of account are there for everybody to see. They said we spent N1.2billion on the police – even if that is true, is that corruption? Did I set up my security outfit and pay myself? I want to repeat that I have had my last day in office. I have achieved everything I set out to achieve. Looking at the suspension letter, I was not given the benefit of doubt to respond or explain myself. Court order However, I have a court order now enforcing my fundamental human right because once they seize your passport, you don’t know the next step they will take. I took an exparte motion to court to ensure I am not harassed. On the allegation that he is partisan When I was in King’s College, I was in Form 2 when Bukola Saraki came into Form 1. He has been my friend since we were 11years old. Also, El-Rufai has been my friend. I never knew I will be CBN Governor because I had wanted to study law, also Bukola Saraki never knew he would become a politician because he read medicine. These people remain my friends and, with all sincerity, every one of us has friends across political divides. These are things some Nigerians categorize and accuse me of being a politician. Also, I had known Governor Fashola and Bola Tinubu since I was in First Bank. I am a Lagos boy as well and my children were all given birth to and groomed in Lagos. When Nasir El- Rufai heard what happened, he decided to come to the Lagos airport so that if I am going to be arrested, it will be in the company of some of my friends. He never came to the airport as an APC member but as a friend. I am not a politician. What next on NNPC It is not my responsibility anymore but I can comment as a Nigerian. I can talk if I feel like. I believe nobody will challenge me that I did not speak out when I was supposed to as CBN Governor. If the next CBN Governor wants to pursue the missing funds matter or the National Assembly wants to go ahead, they are free of do so. Can you imagine a sitting Minister on national television saying they spent money without appropriation. In any other country, such minister has sacked herself. To me, that is not financial recklessness. Let me simply ask, if the Nigerian Constitution says don’t spend money without appropriation or says don’t pay subsidy and the Minister went ahead to pay, is it not a problem? Technical problem is what we deal with at CBN, we deal with CRR and other issues. In this kind of situation of investigation going on, you are supposed to either keep quiet as a wise man or walk away. But as you can see, I am not a wise man. Donation of 100million It is called principle of donation. During the Ikeja bomb blast explosion, the CBN Governor then, Joseph Sanusi, gave N10million. So I was not the first person to do that. This is contained under Corporate Social Responsibility. The blast in Kano did not affect Kano citizens alone, SSS offices, police stations were attacked and these are federal offices which have several people from the South working there. I can tell you that 80percent of the victims of that bomb attack are not Kano citizens, there were several Christians from the South involved and I gave N100million to their families. What is bad in that? Why are people not complaining about the N500million I compelled the Bankers Committee to give to flood victims in Benue State and other places? What is wrong in it? With CSR, you cannot do everything in all the 36states of the federation; you will do the little you can. Mint printing! This is one area that we have been able to cut down on spending. In 2012, CBN spent N38billion on mint printing down from the N49billion spent in 2011. In 2013, we spent N35billion and, in my 2014 budget, my plan was to spend N30billion. So we have been bringing down the cost of printing. Under the Fiscal Responsibility Act of the CBN, we contribute 80 percent into the Federation Account. In 2008 before I became Governor, CBN contributed N8billion into the Federation Account. In my last year, CBN gave N159billion. In 2012, we gave N80billion, in 2011, we gave N60billion. In the first four years of my term as CBN Governor, we gave government about N279billion. The National Assembly called to commend me. We have been able to give N600billion from surplus alone and the money is made from prudent finance, cutting down currency expenses, every over headline has gone down. So I can say, with all sense of humility, that the last thing anybody can accuse me of his financial recklessness. –By Sanusi Lamido Sanusi

It is no more news that the relationship between Juju maestro, Sir Shina Peters, and Nollywood icon, Clarion Chukwura, produ

ced celebrated music video director, Clarence Peters. But what some may not know is that Clarence started having to relate with his father well about five years ago. The young peters disclosed recently that it was about five years ago that he began understanding his dad's person. Clarence said “I started having a relationship with him five years ago. When one starts having a relationship with one’s father when one is older, one tends to understand a lot of things about him which one will not understand as a kid. I understand a lot of his mistakes; I relate with his mistakes and empathise with them. I understand where he was coming from. When we have discussions now, I understand the conversations more, which I am not sure I would have if I were still a kid. There were no picnics or walk-in-the park stories between my father and I, but there are many things to gain and learn from his wealth of experience as an artiste and a man. Our relationship is more on the standpoint of his wealth of knowledge in the arts and as an artiste. We have an artistic relationship.” Asked he was attracted to his father’s works “I am not attracted to my father’s body of works. I am mostly attracted to his choice of percussions and the melodies. I am enthralled by the way he does it. I think my father’s best performance for me was when I was in his house one day. There was no light and he was drinking a bottle of Gulder. He took his acoustic guitar and played for an hour. I know that he has not done his best work yet. Nigerians are ready for him to do his best work but he doesn’t believe they are ready for him. Those who know him will agree that he has not done his best work.

After their surprise breakup,Kcee has become a superstar in his own right. However many wondered why they broke up..Was told that Kcee suggested they fake a breakup to gain media attention..So Presh agreed .Unknown to him Kcee was really serious about breaking up.So while Presh was waiting for him to come back, Kcee released songs and became a superstar leaving Presh in the cold.... Well Kcee told Yes magazine his own reason below "We thought we’ve been doing it for 12 years and we needed a change because the only thing that is constant is change. Just like the Yoruba adage that says that 20 children cannot play for 20 years. Although we never saw this coming, we always thought we would be together forever, but at the end of the day, we are doing it and we are loving it.Initially, I thought going solo was going to be stressful. I thought about how people were going to accept me as a solo artist knowing full well that I had been with Presh for about 12 years. Both of us were scared, but I thought that so far we can make people believe that we are good together as a group; we can also make them believe we can do it without each other and that was the belief. Even if you are twins, your focus can not be the same, your spirit and your drive might not be on the same platform at all times."

Talented gospel vocalist, Jeremiah Gyang has been lashed out at by some Nigerians over a brand endorsement contract he recently grabbed from Nasco Biscuit, which is based in Jos, Plateau State. Nasco Biscuit used to be the preferred product consumed by children many years ago until other companies took over the market from them. The singer announced to his fans some days ago that he had clinched an ambassadorial deal with Nasco Biscuit, but rather than receive praises and commendations for the deal, Jeremiah got knocks from his fans, who lambasted him for being proud of such contract. ‘While others are getting endorsements from big telecoms companies, you are here making a peace sign for a biscuit company. Do you think you are still a kid,? one of the fans asked in amazement. Another said, ‘people are wonderful ooo, Jeremiah, Jeremiah, Jeremiah, how many times did i call you? Do you not have a single iota of shame? Ambassador for Nasco? Nasco of old airport in Jos Plateau State? and you are proud of it? I am disappointed in you. Imagine the tacky signboard! I am upset. How much did they pay you for this nons**se? ‘You are even doing peace sign, can you imagine? Your juniors are doing ambassador for P**si and you are here doing peace sign for Nasco Biscuit. May Jehovah help you and all the people lying to with congrats. I have nothing to say to you again,’ said another fan.

Mercy Johnson is Nigeria’s busiest actress, YES International! investigations have revealed. The Igbira, Kogi State born movie star, according to our findings, is also one of the richest actresses right now. She allegedly pockets between N1.5m and N2m per script. And ever since she became the hottest thing in Nollywood, no month passes by without her interpreting at least two movie roles. We even learnt that producers queue up now to have her take part in their movies, with most of them crediting her account up front. “The situation has been like that for some time now. Even when she was pregnant, she was still working non-stop, including shooting a movie in the United States of America with her bulging tummy. As a matter of fact, the producers were so desperate that they started writing scripts to align with her pregnancy”. Among Mercy’s latest works are: Obioma The Slave Girl, Sleeping Walker, Heart of A Twin 1 & 2, Mud of Hardship, Dumebi and Bitterleaf Cyhtia, There are also Daniella, First Experience, Endless Agony, Immaculate Heart, Painful Soul, Tears of Madness, Weeping Kingdom, Troubled King, Baby Oku in America, Dumebi in School, Somma The Local Champion, Ebute The Only Girl, Leave My Tears 1 & 2, Mary The Hunter, Cry of A Widow, Voice of A Mother, etc. Obviously busy as a bee, a source, however, advised that Mercy should learn from those before her and invest wisely. “And this is why: There was a time that Liz Benson was the hottest thing in the industry. But where is she today? How busy is Liz right now? Same thing with Patience Ozokwor, Victor Osuagwu and the rest of them. Even Genevieve Nnaji. My advise to her is: Maximize this and make good use of the opportunity because some opportunities don’t come twice”. Married to Odianosen Okojie and blessed with a daughter, Purity, she is the fourth child in a family of seven. In love with playing monopoly and enjoying sentimental music, well endowed Mercy attended Nigerian Navy Primary and Secondary Schools in Lagos. An unabashed admirer of Genevieve, her lead role in Kenneth Nnebue’s movie, The Maid, thrust her onto prominence. The daughter of a retired Naval personnel, that first major role fetched her only N50,000. But today, the story has changed. Born on August 28, 1984, her favorite food is Eba with Egusi...*Big Grin*

Singer Seun Oni, popularly known as SAEON has been sighted very close to BBA Allstar winner, Uti Nwachukwu, and it was readily concluded that the actor, model and TV host might really have more than just a friend relationship with her. Saeon, the Boogie Down crooner has confirmed the rumor to be true. She disclosed in recent interview that she is in love with Uti, and that they are enjoying a good relationship. See her confirmation below: “I don’t like to put my personal business out there. I have known Uti for a while and he was in my only video. I met him prior to shooting the video because he helped me to bring some of the things I used in the video from England. We started talking, hanging out and then this. “We are in love and he is a very honest person and also genuine. People would always say things about him which obviously are not true but that would not stop him from being him. He is God-fearing, very funny and of course, good-looking. This affair is no publicity stunt; even though I know Uti is a big brand and I am only an emerging brand.” Story by Julia Blaise

Personally, I think the police should start arresting people who inflict such injuries on others. Call it 'attempted murder' or something like that and lock them up for at least a year. How can anyone be so heartless to do this to another human being? A female lawyer based in Calabar Cross River State, Florence Ujinka, was picked up and interrogated by the police for torturing her 13 year old househelp, Chidera Asonye Nathaniel. Florence is reported to have used an old fan belt to inflict marks on young Chidera. The woman was reported to the police by a Child Rights Group called Basic Rights Counsel Initiative in Calabar, who revealed that since the woman and her husband brought Chidera from Anambra state to Calabar in 2012 to serve as their househelp, Mrs Ujinka had repeatedly subjected the young boy to torture and inhuman treatment. "Mrs Florence Ujinka has been subjecting Chidera to inhuman and degrading treatment by torturing him with an automobile fan belt and in the process inflicting him with severe wounds on his body”. The group said The group wants the police to file a case of 'torture, inhuman and degrading treatment and child trafficking' against the lawyer and her doctor husband. The police in Calabar have promised to investigate the matter and said the couple would be brought to book soon and made to face the law

Tech entrepreneur and iROKO CEO Jason Njoku revealed on Twitter a few days back that his absent biological father, a man he has never met before in all his 33+ years on earth, suddenly wants to meet him. But Jason says he's not having it. Below is what he wrote on his blog... "So my son is now 6.5 months old. He is easily my greatest work. My family beyond all the success in business remains the most important thing I have achieved. Only those from a ‘broken’ home can truly understand that. A happy family is the ultimate sign of success. To be honest I haven’t really started truly understanding what it is to be a father. Currently I'm just muddling through. I haven’t met my father before. Ever. So its all on the job training. So as you can imagine I was surprised that after 33.2 years my own father decided it was time to reach out. Time to have a chat. Time to connect. Success has many fathers. Failure has none. #NotHavingIt." Dear men, you don't have to have a relationship with the mother of your child, but you must have one with your child. That is your flesh and blood. How you can walk away from him/her is beyond me.
